Learn to fight Parkinson’s Disease at the World Parkinson’s Day Meet
In association with the Basal Ganglia Support Group, Brains Hospital is organizing an event on 11th April 2019 to educate and empower patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers.
The event is being held at Rajarajeshwari Nagar premises of the Hospital in order to commemorate the World Parkinson’s Day, which is observed globally on 11thApril on the birthday of Dr James Parkinson, who was the first to describe the disease in his ‘An Essay on the Shaking Palsy’ in 1817.
At the event, patients and caregivers of Parkinson’s will be counselled by eminent experts—Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Physiotherapists, Speech and Occupational therapists—on the best ways of dealing with the disease. The experts will also update them on the latest research and breakthroughs in the diagnosis, treatment and management of the disease. The event is open for free participation for all Parkinson patients and their care givers.
