Time for Golden Hour
Life-saving service officially launched: Over the last several months a large team of handpicked experts have been working quietly behind the scenes to build Golden Hour, a unique city-wide system designed provide prompt and appropriate life-saving care to people hit by medical emergencies.
On Sunday, August 5, the service was officially launched at a landmark event at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall in Bangalore in the presence of leaders from across cultural, medical, business and political domains.
With its launch Golden Hour will offer fast and effective care to medical emergency patients across the city through its large and growing number of emergency centres.
A brainchild of Dr N K Venkatramana, Golden Hour aims to save thousands of lives that are now lost in the absence of fast and appropriate response.
The launch event was attended by a glittering list of guests including former Chief Justice of India Mr Venkatachalliah, State Health Minister, Mr K R Ramesh Kumar, Former Union Minister of State, Ms Dagubatti Purandeswari and Chairman of ISRO, Mr Kiran Kumar among others.
